WNYC reported this morning on the brewing controversy around the FDA's pending approval of genetically-modified salmon for the US consumer market. The salmon, produced by AquaBounty Technologies of Massachusetts, "contains an extra growth gene that makes it grow twice as fast as conventional farm-raised salmon." You can listen to the piece
